Clara Mbwili-Muleya

Clara Mbwili-Muleya (MD, MPH) has over 20 years of experience in district health service management and systems strengthening in Zambia. She pioneered the introduction of participatory research/reflection and action (PRA) in Lusaka district that has given birth to the Health Literacy programme currently being scaled up nation-wide after its launch and institutionalization by the Ministry of Health in 2012. She has participated and contributed to the knowledge base on research to action especially in the area of equity in health and health policy research through her collaboration with regional and international networks such as the Regional Network on Equity and Health in Southern Africa (EQUINET) and Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research (CCGHR).
