Irene Agyepong

Chair of the Board, Health Systems Global. Professor, University of Ghana School of Public Health, Ghana

Irene Akua Agyepong is currently a teacher and researcher in the Department of Health Policy, Planning and Management of the University of Ghana School of Public Health and also chair of the Board of Health Systems Global. She has been a Regional and before that a District Director of Health in the Ghana Health Service. She was Professor Prince Claus Chair in Development and Equity 2008 – 2010 in the University of Utrecht. She has an MBChB (1986) from the University of Ghana Medical School; a Masters in Public Health (1991) from the University of Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, a Doctor of Public Health (2000) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a Foundation Fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons.
