Emerging Voices for Global Health

Emerging Voices for Global Health (EV4GH) is a network of young and emerging health-systems researchers, leaders, health activists and/or other change agents, with emphasis on those living and working in the global south. EV4GH catalyses, empowers and connects diverse voices with the capabilities and drive to challenge and address current and future health systems and policy issues at all levels with an equity lens.

A game of power and privilege in global health: can you walk the walk and talk the talk? Thematic Working Group Emerging Voices

This session will help deconstruct and understand the concept of ‘decolonizing’ global health from HSG participants’ lived experiences. In this facilitated session, participants will engage in a ‘power walk’ followed by a semi-guided discussion to generate information on this recent intense topic of discussion. It is hoped that this session will also expose the diverse participants to the realities of knowledge generation, funding, dissemination and most importantly the ultimate output of health policy and systems research – strengthening health systems.
